When I got to Lithuania by bus, I was hungry and went to buy some fast food so I could get moving along with my journey.  Little did I realize that Lithuania is not part of the Eurozone, so my Euros were worthless.  English is a little lacking also, since I wasn’t in the capitol, but people knew enough English to help me get to a bank where I could change over Euros to Lithuanian Litas, the Lithuanian currency.

I needed Litas because I was going to take a bus to the Hill of Crosses.  I found the currency quite beautiful.

Lithuanian CurrencyThe other benefit is that I felt really rich.  I received over 60 Lita for my 20 Euro.

Lithuanian CurrencyThe currency is so nice looking that I almost didn’t want to spend it.  Yeah, well, I got over that.
