We headed over to the overlook where you can see the entire city of Johnstown.
From here, you can also see where the floodwaters ended their journey. They came down through the valley that you see in the picture (top left) The water was upwards of 30-40 feet high and came crashing through the city and hit the hill we were standing out and then spread out to the left and right.
Up top, where we were, there is an incline, which gives you the opportunity to have these amazing views.
As someone who is afraid of heights, I’m proud to say, I took these pictures myself. I was amazed I was able to do it.
But it was worth it for the view.
Unfortunately, the incline was not operating while we were there, so no rides for us. Boo-hoo!
