This past Saturday we visited Canoe Creek state park. It’s a nice park. There are trails – lots of trails. And there’s a lake – a beautiful lake.
The water was calm. Which is a great metaphor for life as we wish it would be.
So often though, life is anything but calm. The waters of life are often rough and throw us to and fro. We feel like have to swim and paddle harder and harder.
Whether or not our lives are supposed to be calm or rough I do not know. I know this much – when our lives experience the calm waters, enjoy them while they last.
