Welcome.

Welcome to sanctuary.

I’m willing to bet that you need sanctuary. For something in your life. I’m almost certain that you do.

People seek sanctuary for a variety of reasons. Sanctuary can be a place, a person, an attitude, silence, a prayer, an answered call for help.

Regardless of the reason, you are welcome to the sanctuary.

If you are fleeing for your life, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are seeking sanctuary because of abuse, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are without shelter, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are broken because of relationships, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are struggling with addiction, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are enslaved to your work, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are consumed by consumerism, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are ill, you are welcome to sanctuary

If you are anxious, fearful, angry, or sad due to politics, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you have money challenges, you are welcome to sanctuary.

If you are hungry, you are welcome to sanctuary.

I don’t have all the answers. I don’t have a ton of resources. I don’t have a large space. I don’t have every material thing you need. But I do have God. I have ears to listen. I have a heart to empathize. I have a prayer for you. I have eyes that see your humanity and the image of God in you. I have a mouth to speak words of truth and love to you. It is the sanctuary I can provide you, if even for a brief time.

Sanctuary is an opportunity to lay down your burden, if only for a temporary time. Come, sanctuary with me.
